This series of paintings explored a makeover of my domestic and everyday institutional spaces in transformation with the suggestion or trace of figures in each. The indefinite figures haunting the spaces were both stand-ins for the multiple selves I embody in my daily life, as well as vestiges I suspect, imagine or perhaps hope we leave behind, even in parking garages and strip malls.
